GNSS workshop to take place in January

Details have been released for an event on Horizon 2020 and its Industrial Leadership satellite navigation call. The European Commission is inviting project applications in regards to the EU’s Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), known as Galileo.

The European Global Navigation Satellite Systems Agency (GSA) is inviting interested scientists to participate in the ‘Second European GNSS Applications in Horizon 2020 Workshop’. The agenda of the one-day event includes information on making a research application for the Galileo call, which was launched in November and is open from 8 April 2015; the call budget is €25m. At the workshop, details will also be provided on the rules for participation, financial guidelines in Horizon 2020, and the benefits and opportunities of using Galileo in other industries, including agriculture, transport and maritime.

The information day takes place in Prague in the Czech Republic, at Czech Technical University’s faculty of electrical engineering. The workshop takes place on 14 January 2015 and more information on the event, including registration, can be found here.
