Israeli launch of Horizon 2020

The Israel launch of Horizon 2020 has taken place at the Open University in Ra’anana. The key speaker was Robert-Jan Smits, General Director, DG Research and Innovation, European Commission, who gave an overall overview of the programme.

Other speakers included Open University Professor Miriam Souroujon, ambassador and head of the EU delegation to Israel Lars Faaborg-Andersen, and President of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities Professor Ruth Arnon.

Topics discussed included bioeconomy in Horizon 2020, space and security, and SMEs and financial instruments.
