The event will begin tomorrow and will be hosted by the Ministry of Economy and the Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology. It will include the participation of Sir Timothy John Berners-Lee, the inventor of the World Wide Web.

Business and science innovation leaders from countries around Europe will share their insights on the significance of innovations for the pan-European economy. During the Forum, participants, as well as Vilnius residents, will be invited to a science and technology exhibition.

Evaldas Gustas, Lithuanian Minister of Economy, said: “This event is an assembly of innovation leaders aimed at promoting discussions about the role of innovation, co-operation between academic and business community, and highlight innovation as the main instrument in addressing the problems of economic growth and employment at European level.”

The Forum will host around 600 participants and include more than 50 speakers. Officials from the European Commission, heads of innovative enterprises as well as global and Lithuanian business and science leaders will participate in the event.
