PRESENTATION:
The CO2MultiStore project

The Crown Estate and its partners in the CO2MultiStore project demonstrate the process of permanently sequestering CO₂ captured from power plants and industrial facilities in a deep geological formation beneath the North Sea using multiple injection sites at the same time over three decades.

The work has informed how the UK can plan and manage subsurface geological CO₂ storage, and design CO₂ injection at more than one location, by looking at regional-scale performance of an entire geological formation. Generic learning from the cutting-edge methods used on the project will be of considerable value to prospective site operators worldwide.
