IMI indicates potential upcoming call topics

The IMI has released details of potential upcoming call topics that will be launched later this year.

According to their Joint Undertaking’s website, topics currently being considered are ‘Joint influenza vaccine effectiveness surveillance’, ‘Development of quantitative system toxicology approaches to improve the understanding of the safety of new medicines’ and ‘Establishing impact of respiratory syncytial virus infection’.

The IMI is also providing an indication of possible themes that could come under its new ‘Big data for better outcomes’ programme, which aims at “maximising the potential of big data in healthcare”. A consultation was held earlier this year; topics set for inclusion are a Coordination and Support Action for the scheme, Alzheimer’s disease and haematologic malignancies.

The PPP and the EFPIA will finalise the new programme’s topics in the coming months. The new calls are set to open for the submission of proposals in the autumn.
