MSCA ITNs calls announced

The European Commission has announced a call for proposals under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCAs).

The calls cover the Innovative Training Networks (ITNs) and are part of the ‘Excellent Science’ pillar. The scheme aims to raise excellence and structure research and doctoral training, extending the traditional academic research training setting. It’s hoped the scientist training scheme will equip researchers with the right combination of research-related and transferrable competencies.

Applications may be submitted under the following network areas: European industrial doctorates, European joint doctorates, and European training networks. In order to receive funding, the networks must be created by at least three beneficiaries or at least two for European industrial doctorates located in three different member states or Horizon 2020 associated countries. The overall indicative budget for this call in 2015 is €370m and is pooled from the EU research and innovation framework budget.

The deadline for submissions is 13 January 2015.
